May 22, 2007 Here are a couple showing the parking lot striping, which is now completed. ![]() ![]() The entire building will be heated and air conditioned with super efficient ground source heat pumps. They draw their energy from a 2-mile long, re-circulating loop, running in 39 holes drilled in the ground. At five foot and deeper, the ground temperature is always about 55 degrees, so the energy source is always close to what we are trying to achieve inside the building. This makes it several times more efficient than the best gas-fired heating system. Here are the two drill rigs at work on the 39 holes, each 155 ft. deep. ![]() ![]() |
Here are some shots of the parking lot light poles being installed. ![]() ![]() The memorial flag pole is installed and they laid the rock base Monday. If the rain holds off, they will probably start installing the clay pavers this week. Engraving of the early brick sales should be in June. Early donations have been brisk, and they will have 500+ bricks to engrave. ![]()
